|Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers|
This four-hour American Heart Association class provides BLS re-certification for healthcare providers seeking credentialing. Includes instruction on the use of automated external defibrillation (AED). This class focuses on what healthcare providers need to know to perform CPR in a wide variety of in-out -of hospital settings. The information and skills you will learn in this class are: *Initiating the Chain of Survival, *Performing prompt, high-quality chest compressions for adult, child and infant victims, *Initiating early use of an AED, *Providing appropriate rescue breaths, *Practicing 2-rescuer team CPR, *Relieving choking.

|American Red Cross Offers Nurse Assistant Training in Nashville|
The American Red Cross is offering its first Nurse Assistant Training course in Nashville which will begin onTuesday, February 21st and will last for 5 weeks, ending March 23rd. The course will typically run Monday -Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. each day and will be held at the Nashville Area Red Cross Building located at 2201 Charlotte Avenue. The cost of the program is $600 per student and there is limited space available.
American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training will provide the information and skills needed to become a CNA, delivering basic care and support for residents in nursing communities, clients at home and patients in hospitals. Nationally, the American Red Cross has provided Nurse Assistant Training for more than two decades and has been a leader in the nursing profession for more than 100 years but this is a new opportunity for the Nashville Area Chapter. With its strong tradition of nursing, the Red Cross is a solid choice for people seeking Nurse Assistant Training.
